Ali Harter is set to perform Saturday, April 18 at our 2020 Songwriter Showcase

mc_aliharter49.jpeg

Ali Harter (born June 20, 2025) is an American singer/songwriter from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She has played in several bands, but primarily as a solo musician for over fifteen years. Harter is a veteran of the national and international music scene.

Harter’s efforts have won her contests and accolades including 2012’s Comanche Casino Idol, where she won the chance to sing with with Garth Brooks’ long time guitar player, Ty England. Harter has also be awarded a Woody Guthrie Award for ‘Best New Singer-Songwriter’.

Ali has been fortunate enough to share the stage with such acts as: John MayallMeg & DiaMagnolia Electric Co.Steel TrainDierks BentleyMiranda LambertWar of AgesFlee the Seen, and has shared festival billing with the likes of The Flaming LipsLeon RussellBen HarperTori AmosPJ HarveyAmos LeeLimbeckThe Black CrowesCakeDamone as well as many others.

Ali’s partnership with WARM Music/Big Green Bamboo, a European publishing company, gave her an opportunity to explore the commercial side of the music industry. Ali has written and recorded original music for television add campaigns and has had music featured in a number of movies and television shows. On Mar 4th, 2010, two songs from Harter's 2007 album Worry the Bone were featured on the popular ABC prime-time drama Grey's Anatomy. The songs You Can Keep 'Em and Untitled No. 3 were featured on episode 16 Perfect Little Accident of Season 6.

Ali has performed on innumerable recordings for artists across the US and Europe. Ali can be heard collaborating on the 2009 Wax Tailor album, In The Mood For Life, on the first single, which she co-wrote with Wax Tailor and New Orleans' 'Voice', titled, This Train. Following the records release, all collaborating artists were presented a gold record for In The Mood For Life at L’Olympia in Paris France during a two night, sold out, album release event.

In 2013 Harter began recording her third record, Near The Knuckle. Due to a series of catastrophic life events, the album was shelved in 2015. Ali continued to play shows until 2017, all the while attempting to finish the project. The sudden death of her father that year resulted in a life altering struggle with depression and drinking. The residuals of that grief were being kicked off of NBC’s the voice, numerous canceled shows, what seemed like an early retirement, and an abandoned album.

Over the next 2 years Harter focused on family and healing. In early 2019 she announced that she and her family were on the mend, the album was back on track, and though it would most likely be her last release, it would be coming out later that year.

2019/20 will see Ali’s music featured in a French marketing campaign for Microsoft, the release of her last album, ‘Near The Knuckle’, a few local appearances, a regional tour to support the album, as well as many more musical, artistic, and philanthropic endeavors which have yet to be announced.

Ali currently lives in her childhood home in Oklahoma with her two children, Bonnie & Ryland.

Ashley Campbell to play Oklahoma Songwriters Festival 2020 Songwriter Showcase

Ashley Campbell was originally a theater major at Pepperdine University and regularly performed improv comedy at the Groundlings and Comedy Sportz theaters in Hollywood. Music had always been a major part of her life from beginning piano lessons at age 6 and picking up the guitar at 15. But it wasn’t until she was asked to learn the banjo for a role in Pepperdine’s Edinburgh Theater program that music began to take the wheel as both a passion and a career.  Shortly after graduation, Ashley joined her father, Glen Campbell in his Goodbye Tour where she played both banjo and keyboard. “I can't even put into words how priceless it was for me to be able to perform with my dad,” Ashley said. “I had the best seat in the house, being right there on stage with him every night. Watching him was the ultimate lesson in sharing joy and experiences through music.” After the tour, Ashley signed a publishing deal and moved to Nashville in 2013 to write and make her own way in the music world. Ashley went on to write and release her first single"Remembering” in 2015. A deeply personal reflection about her father’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis, “Remembering” was featured on her father’s documentary, Glen Campbell: I'll Be Me. The soundtrack for the documentary would go on to win two grammy’s.  The success launched Ashley into a solo career, releasing her first album, The Lonely One, in 2018. Ashley co-produced the record with her brother Cal and released on her own label (Whistle Stop Records). Now touring nationally and internationally, Ashley has plans to release her sophomore album (produced by friend and co-writer of “Remembering” Kai Welch) in the near future.  Follow on Instagram @ashcambanjo

jaret-reddick.jpg
Jaret Reddick is best known as the lead singer and songwriter for the pop punk pioneers Bowling For Soup. Songs like “1985,” “Almost,” High School Never Ends,” and “Punk Rock 101” are but a few of the catchy ditties Reddick and BFS toured the world supporting more times than you can shake a stick at!
“When you think of BFS, you think ‘funny,’” Reddick explains. “But, there is way more substance to the songs than comes across when playing the songs at full volume.”
Jaret has also made his mark on film and TV, co-writing the themes to both “Phineas and Ferb” and “Jimmy Neutron,” to name a few.
